Tim Holtz Blog Hop and Give Away!

haberdasher

Yield:  1 Framed Panel
Wet Ingredients:
  • Ink – Alcohol Mushroom; Distress Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain
  • Other – Crazing Medium; Distress Crayon Black Soot, Ices Spruce, Faded Jeans, Old Paper, Picket Fence
  • Paint – Distress Iced Spruce, Faded Jeans
  • Stain – Distress Frayed Burlap, Iced Spruce, Old Paper, Walnut Stain
Dry Ingredients:
  • Cardstock – Paper Stash (Dapper & Memoranda)
  • Hardware – Adornment (Foundry), Clock Hands, Panel, Jump Ring, Long Fastener, Measurements, Pocket Watch, Trinket Tin, Vignette Hardware, Vignette Panel
  • Other – Batting, Clipping Stickers, Design Tape (Humidor), Display Hanger, Eclectic Elements Fabric (Dapper), Remnant Rubs (Correspondences), Sewing Needles, Tailors Pins, Textile Surfaces, Vial Labels
  • Ribbon – Eclectic Elements Thread
there is not a complete tutorial here, just a few photos taken while putting the project together.

The faux liner is created using the new Humidor Design Tape,
i love how this looks like the logo has been burnt into the wood.  The Eclectic Elements fabric was stitched over 1/4" batting and stained with old paper to crate water marks.
This is the pattern i created for my paper collars. I varied the points to change the look (men's shirts are described by their collar point, or lack of, and spread). I made many.

These didn't make the cut (nor did the club and wingtip collars)

The collars were distressed using Antique Linen & Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.  The Vial Labels and Clipping Stickers were stitched into the collar stands prior to creasing and curving.

The pocket watch was stuffed with batting and tufted using the new Clock Hands. Eclectic Elements Thread was colourized to match the project.  The Trinket Tin is labelled as Drawing Pins, I placed the pocket watch making the leap to [Se]wing Pins
the next stop on the Creativation 2018
